Rox Speed Fx bar risers

May 28, 2010 at 7:54
The 990R is a pretty tall bike, but being 6'4" I still found myself humped over and not in the optimum position for comfort and performance.
The Rox Speed FX pivoting Risers are a unique design that give up to 2 inches of rise with the added benefit of pivoting the rise forward or backwards.

First 700km offroad ride on the 990r

May 17, 2010 at 15:57
Saturday morning I wanted to go for a ride. I headed up to Vedder for the morning and chased some dirt bikers around the single track with my horn. That got old pretty quick so I thought this is as good a time as any to go for my first long distance ride. Little did I know that this would be a 700km ride which included log hopping, washed out roads, a broken ignition key, and would last almost 2 days.

Single track with adjusted fork stops

May 13, 2010 at 11:01
The other day riding the 990 on some single track I noticed that the turning radius was pretty large. Initially looking at it I assumed that the amount you can turn the wheel/forks was restricted by the frame, but when I took a closer look it turns out that the fork stops came adjusted way too far out.
After turning them in, I took another run on the single track. You be the judge of the difference. Video Inside

My first mod to the 990 is crash bars. I already had some close calls, and actually dropped the bike once so I better get these things on sooner than later.

May 12, 2010 at 10:35
So the other day I finally received my brand new 2010 KTM 990R from No Limits MotorSports. This think just looks great and the extra height compared to the regular 990 is very welcome for a tall guy.

Big Kahuna 2010 video and photos

Apr 6, 2010 at 9:02
This past weekend we raced in the Big Kahuna race in Kamloops. This race is much different than most of the races in the PN series as this one is on flat terrain, integrating a moto track, and short wood section. The lap times are around 10 minutes.
Check out the lap video and photos from the day.

Frost Bite 2010 full lap video and recap

Apr 1, 2010 at 11:30
We left Friday morning to head to Odesa which was a 7 hour drive. Arriving there we were a little disappointed that we were not supposed to preride the course. I always find it safer to be able to preride a course in case there are some dangers to be encountered. I suppose this race was a little different, as it would turn out that we would do 7 laps on this track.
Check out some more video and info inside.

Moto Training for the 2010 MTB Season

Mar 3, 2010 at 14:09
There is more to off season training than just going to the gym, ever tried mixing up your training schedule?

Last winter I had lost a lot of my motivation to ride downhill. I was without a downhill bike and I guess you could say that I was a little worn out from the season prior. I've been racing bikes all my life. I raced BMX from age 10 to 18 and I've raced downhill ever since I was about 15 years old. Oh ya and during middle school I even raced cross country for 3 years!

Check out one of the ways that I stay motivated inside,

Baja Trip 2009 - Day 4, Gilligan's Island

Feb 15, 2010 at 7:48
The day so far was filled with adventure. We had been trying to leave Coco's for about 5 hours, but the bad luck finally left us stranded. With the 525 with blown rear wheel bearing, we were in the middle of nowhere with a single bike. The day was coming to an end an we had to make a quick decision of what to do next.

Road To Baja on SCORE site

Feb 4, 2010 at 11:52
I got a phone call yesterday and when I answered I was surprised to hear the person introducing himself on the other end was no one other than Sal Fish, the master and director behind the Baja 1000 and other SCORE international races. He had just seen our documentary Road to Baja and was super stoked on it. He explained to me how this took him back to the days when he raced Baja, and how this was exactly why he works so hard to put on this series.

Road To Baja Complete

Jan 31, 2010 at 22:01
Radek Burkat (pinkbike.com developer) and Andrew Krynen (mountain biker) take on the most dangerous race in the world, the BAJA 1000. The two bikers traded in their pedals for a motor and challenged themselves to see how well two mountain bikers could do in the world of moto.
On the trip was long time mountain bike cinematographer Ambrose Weingart (CKD, Back in the saddle, etc) to film and put together a full one hour documentary this event. Support was by long time pinkbike photographer Russ Day, and pinkbike's Karl Burkat
